How to re-format the TAC Drive in Windows

Step 1: Backup Your Files!

Remember to backup all your personal files from your TAC Drive.

Step 2: Open up 'My Computer'

Open up 'My Computer' by holding down the Windows key (located to the left of the spacebar) and pressing the letter 'E'.

Step 3: Select TAC Drive

In the folder pane that appears on the left of the screen, right click the mouse over the TAC Drive directory (in this case F:).

Step 4: Select Format

In the window that appears, click on 'Format'

Step 5: Configure Format

Make sure the top of the Format Box states "TAC Drive", the 'File system' is set to FAT32, the 'Volume label' lists "TACDRIVE", and the checkbox reflects the 'Quick Format' option. Click 'Start'.

Step 6: Finished

Your TAC Drive should have been formatted successfully. You may now go to the support page and download the latest version of the TAC Drive software.
